"The Most Dangerous Game" by Richard Connell

Okay, so i'm reading a short story called the Most Dangerous Game.
The main plot point of this story is about hunting. There's this guy, Rainsford who falls off a boat on the way to the amazon to hunt jaguars and finds an island. On the island, there's General Zaroff, from somewhere in Russia.
He really really likes hunting. Not as a hobby, a lifestyle. He has hunted every possible game there is. But he started getting bored. So then he goes and decided to start his own game reserve off the coast of south america. Rainsford washes up on the island, but he's a hunter too. So the general and discuss hunting over dinner.
When Zaroff finally reveals what the game is, Rainsford is appalled. Zaroff is capturing humans off ships that stop at the island and releasing them into a secure jungle. He gives them three days until the game is over. Within the three days, if he kills them, Zaroff wins, but if they survive, they get to go home freely. Zaroff has never lost. And now since Rainsford called him a murderer, he's going to be hunted by General Crazy-Pants!

I recommend the short story if you're really curious to see what happens to Rainsford, but if not, too bad cause I'm not telling!

Hey guys,

i know this is a really sad day to remember, you know, 9/11 and everything. but i found something interesting about a mythical creature that i had never heard off. it's called an Agloolik. They're from inuit and Eskimo (not sure what the difference is...) mythology. it's said that they're spirits that live in frozen lakes and grant good luck to passing hunters and fishers. i find them very interesting.

9/11- Never Forget

Here's a poem that i wrote. i was inspired by something my writing teacher said to me.

9/11- not just a dream...

FRANTIC VOICES, SCREAMING PLEAS OF HELP
LOVED ONES ANTICIPATING IT'S JUST A DREAM...
DEADLINE, ENCLOSING THEM IN A GIANT METAL COFFIN
THE SHALLOW HEARTS OF THOSE THINKING ONLY OF THEMSELVES, BECAUSE IT'S JUST A DREAM...
BOOM!!! QUAKES HIT A CITY, FLIPPING HEARTS AND PASSING INNOCENT LIVES TO A NEW WORLD, WAITING
IT'S JUST A DREAM WHEN MIGHT CITIES FALL...
IT'S JUST A DREAM WHEN DIRT FILLS THE LUNGS OF LITTLE ONES...
IT'S JUST A DREAM, THE DANGER AROUND EVERY CORNER...
BUT IT'S NOT A DREAM... IT HAPPENED
VOICES ONCE HEARD WILL NEVER SING AGAIN BECAUSE... WELL YOU THINK ABOUT IT...

I write this poem in the memory of everyone that died during 9/11
